MICHAEL CELAYA

Michael Celaya

Michael Celaya is a board member providing expertise on product sales and community engagement. He has more than 30 years of experience that have resulted in getting the jobs done effectively and efficiently. He specialized in intergovernmental relations and strategic planning in various levels of government, private industry, and local businesses. He shares his knowledge and talents with the charity.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government and an Associate of Arts in Business Administration and General Management from Central Arizona College.

CHEKENA CARTER, DNP, FNP-C

Chekena Carter, DNP, FNP-C

Doctor Carter is a purveyor of clinical excellence with an affinity for people. Her background as a critical care nurse as a bedside and disease management nurse practitioner in both the inpatient and outpatient setting makes her an expert on quality care in the primary care setting.

As a doctorally prepared nurse practitioner, she possesses the skills to promote quality evidence-based care. Her exceptional diagnostic abilities, clinical collaboration skills, patient motivational interviewing, minority patient sensitivity training, and health coaching skills are but a few of the talents that she shares with the charity.

NADER DAJANI

Nader Dajani

Nader Dajani is the head of business development for Josh.ai, a cutting-edge social conscientious AI technology company. He has been immersed in artificial intelligence for more than 10 years. His knowledge about the technology integration industry is essential for the charity's continual advancement in identifying and providing simple ways to use, build and develop products that help people improve their quality of life through technology automation and integration.

He holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

JANEEN K. GASKINS

Janeen K. Gaskins

Janeen Gaskins is the founder and chief operations officer for the G.A.S.K.I.N.S. Charity. She was the vice president of Shakatronics Audio Video for 12 years. She has more than 18 years of municipal government experience in grant administration and community organizations. She is skilled in non-profit capacity building, event planning, strategic planning, and public speaking.

Her strong desire to give back to the less fortunate is rooted in her Christian beliefs. She holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Planning and Urban Design from Arizona State University, Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and Bachelor of Arts in African American/African Studies from the University at Albany, SUNY.

KEVIN MCGOURTY, PH.D

Kevin McGourty, Ph.D.

Doctor McGourty brings his research on emotional intelligence and its connection to real estate success. His unique approach to understanding the impact of a person’s feelings on how they buy homes is essential to the charity's ability to meet the needs and desires of program recipients.

He has leadership development and training experience within the state of Arizona. He holds a PhD. in Psychology - Emphasis in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Grand Canyon University, MBA from Northwest Nazarene University, Master in Divinity from George Fox University and holds several licenses and certifications.

COURTNEY SMYTHE

Courtney Smythe

Courtney Smythe is a Navy veteran with first-hand experienced coordinating community activities in low-income rural areas, hospitals, and healthcare arenas. Her creative talents allow her to have out-of-the-box ideas that engage the recreational side of living life in place and with grace.

She is a skilled manager, leader, customer service facilitator, and community organizer. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Parks and Recreation Management from Arizona State University - College of Public Service & Community Solutions.
